Horseback riding

The popularity of this centre is due to the
excellent and highly disciplined school horses which range from Shetlands, Now Forest to
Hanoverians. This is why our guest ranch is adequate for unexperienced children as well as
for experienced adults. Guests can ride undisturbed for miles along perfect, sandy,
forest trails or go hacking along the River Elbe which lies on the old frontier between
the East and the West.

Cross country enthusiasts can tackle the obstacles of a specially - constructed course
directly situated in Kamerun County, which with it’s banks, ditches and water hazards
provides a true challenge for beginners as well as more experienced horseback-riders.
The centre also has large indoor and outdoor arenas for jumping and dressage enthusiasts.
  
In Kamerun County, there is a horse to suit every type of rider and every
equestrian discipline.

Kamerun County is recognised by the highest equestrian
authority (FN) in Germany for the excellence and consistency of its training. The team of
instructors is led by top instructors. Private lessons and group instruction in
dressage, jumping and trailriding make your holiday an unforgettable experience.
Concerning the horses, you can bring your own horse with you, but there is as well a wide
range of trained horses available, as Kamerun County comes with about 80 horses and ponys.

 Accommodation - guest ranch for your riding
vacations
A short walk from the activity of the stables is the guest
accommodation, bungalows and the typical houses of lower saxony providing friendly but
basic accommodation for individuals and families. Each provides accommodation for up to
four people, with a living area, smallkitchen, bathroom and one or
two bedroom (s). Some of them provide a very
nice view over the outdoor riding area, others a beautiful view over the paddocks and
grazing fields.

Adults book a week or weekend and riding lessons. Non riders accompanying find some nice
activities and a beautiful surrounding for hiking, biking and skating. Individual
arrangements to suit individual needs can be arranged.
 Hostel "Juniorclub" - riding holidays without parents
For children from 8 to 16 years who want to go on holiday
without their parents we have our hostel "Juniorclub". Children who spend their
holidays in the hostel stay in rooms with for, six or eight beds and that is why they
quickly make friends. There is no time for home-sickness or boredom. As well as a varied
day to day weekly riding schedule, the Stehr Family also pride themselves on providing a
calendar of imaginative events for children including, night-riding, barbecues and disco
parties.
The meals are prepared in a buffet-form, so that everyone can choose between different
tasty variations.
The family Stehr and a team of friendly and well-educated young people take care of all
“Juniorclub”-children.
Youngster = 288 € per child per week – everything included.

- Arrive with the bus, train or plane!
Airports:
Hamburg being the closest. Carrier include Lufthansa, Air Berlin
Look for the A7 toward Hannover Then the A250 towards Lüneburg. Towards Dannenberg on the
B216 through Dahlenburg.In Metzingen turn left for Hitzacker, then right to Kamerun
County.
Lübeck
Hamburg-Lübeck is another interesting option if flying from Stansted with Ryanair.Flight
are cheap and directions from Lübeck can be forwarded. Discounts for car rental and
intercity bus rides are all on offer.
Berlin-Schonefeld
Flights daily to Liverpool and on with the train to Wittenberge or Salzwedel.
Car hire is widely available + for groups minibuses can be organised from this end! Railinformation,
in English is available at the Bundes Bahn (Nationalrail) Phone number 00-49-11-8-33
